The Country No-one Wants
This interactive feature, and accompanying video, explore the development of one of the world’s youngest countries: Timor-Leste.
I spent a week in Timor-Lest, travelling through remote hill villages, meeting village chiefs, families, schools and NGO workers, to explore how one of the world’s youngest countries is developing. The project looks at New Zealand’s international aid work in Timor-Leste, and other countries around the world.
